Yesterday's Weigh-In

Yesterday was weigh-in and I maintained at 185.2. As I have been gaining fairly consistently since the accident, this was a small victory. It shows that I can get this under control.

My first goal, 60 minutes of exercise four times a week, was reached last week. I just indulged in some self-sabotage which most likely kept me from losing the weight. This week, I am still focusing on the 60 minutes four times a week, but also trying to get at least three servings of fruits and vegetables into my diet. According the Weight Watcher better health guidelines, I should get five. However, I need to start somewhere.

Meeting tonight at a buffet. Wish me luck! Fortunately, I see buffets as an opportunity for portion control instead of one large pig-out session.

That's great! My mantra was "one pound per month, one pound per month, one pound per month". Slow and steady wins the race. Eating out is now the only time I don't feel fully in control of my eating. It's OK if the restaurant is mediocre, but if the food is good I tend to overeat. Stop eating when you're satisfied and you won't need luck.

WOW! That's a LOT! I'm currently losing 1 pound a week on my raw food diet. NO exercise as I have a pinched nerve in my back, but I'm now starting up on some light walking. Mostly I've lost the weight in my BUTT and around my tummy, which is good, because those are areas you DON'T want extra weight! As soon as I can, I'll start longer walks, but for now, because of my back, I have to do "light walking". GOOD LUCK! I'm going to post some "before" and "now" pics on my blogs this next week. I can really feel the difference in my pants! They are loose! YEAH!
